# Treasure Islands![[PR-ISLAND_02.jpg]]
## About Treasure Islands
In May 2009, I collaborated on **Treasure Islands**, an interactive installation developed during the week-long Sense/Stage workshop at Concordia University’s Hexagram Blackbox. Working with Sarah Albu and Matti Niinimäki, we created a surreal audiovisual environment that combined body tracking, floor pressure sensors, and real-time animations to explore digital interaction.
Utilizing Sense/Stage technology, the setup integrated custom-built wireless sensors, a quadraphonic speaker system, and top-mounted projectors to create a fluid, immersive experience. Participants navigated four themed islands—Rotten Fruit, Fluffy Knitted, Mechanical, and Body Part—triggering unique audio and visual responses. Preceded by a performance, **Treasure Islands** invited visitors to engage directly with the dynamic, data-driven environment.
I'm proud of what we achieved in 2009—it still feels innovative today.
